This
is the Stockton repeater in Chuck's garage (N6BLA). This Repeater is
most complex repeater in the Calnet system. Stockton currently has
4 transmitters and 4 receivers. Plans are in the works to add an
additional link further north which will make it 5 transmitters and 5
receivers this does not even count the transmitters and receivers for
the 2 meter, 220, 440, 6 meter Icom remote base.

On
Sunday July 23, 2000 at around 2:00 pm, we finished checking out the
repeater and making last minute adjustments to get everything to work
just right on the hilltop at Stockton. It took four of us to load
this sucker in Gerry's Tahoe (KB6OOC). It was heavy!

of the entire site. I was facing south east to take this picture.
The Stockton repeater antenna is located on the right tower about half
way up. Its hard to see the antenna from this angle.

Mark
(WA6KBP) makes the final tweaks and adjustments to the Stockton repeater
before it is hooked up to the outside antennas and goes on line with the
rest of the Calnet system.
Note: It was over a 100 degrees outside the day of the install and this site has no air conditioning! Inside the building it was at least 125 degrees. The picture doesn't show it, but Mark (WA6KBP) was sweating big time! (We all were!)

By
9:00 pm we were done and the door was closed! It had been a long day and
our hard work had paid off! The Bay area was now on line with the rest
of the system and working great!
