Picture
of the Sunol Ridge building where the our Sunol Ridge repeater is
located. This is a very nice site with a bathroom! Can you believe
that? A bathroom!
Note: The repeater antenna and link antennas are located on the pole next to the microwave dish just above the white truck. (My white Truck)

This
is a view of the coverage that Sunol Ridge provides to the Amador Valley
where Mark (WA6KBP) and Chuck (N6BLA) live.
This is truly a great site!

Note: We arrived at the site on July 24, 2000 at about 9:30 am. That day we were able to convert the repeater and link audio to flat audio, thus making this repeater sound better. It took most of the day and we ended up doing surgery on both radios to make them sound good. At the end of our fourth day at four hilltops , we celebrated the tremendous success at the Calnet standard eating establishment - In N' Out". Mission accomplished!

The
work crew for Sunol ridge. Top row from left to right : Mark (WA6KBP),
Chris (K6TMI). Bottom row from left to right: Marshall (KE6PCV), Gerry
(KB6OOC). This was the last site that we had to visit and marked
the end of our visit up in bay area. We left the site sometime around
5:30 pm and headed down the hill to grab a bite to eat at IN & OUT
Burger. Boy did those burgers taste good. We were on the road by
7:00 pm and on our way home back to southern California. We
decided to take the 101 freeway home to test out the coverage of the new
Crystal Peak repeater. Boy does this repeater hear good! We were able to
work the repeater all the way down one the 101 freeway to about the 146
freeway. Just over a 100 miles south of the site!
Hope you enjoyed the pictures and my commentary! 73 Marshall KE6PCV
