"Four Sites In Four Days"

Crystal Peak

PAGE 4

On Saturday morning we met up with Chuck (N6BLA) and Mark (WA6KBP) at this turn off near Holy City to go up to the new Crystal Peak site.

Gerry and Chris wait for the north guys at the turn off for Summit Road off the 17 freeway.

From right to left, Chuck (N6BLA), Mark (WA6KBP) and half of Gerry (KB6OOC) at the Summit Road turn off from the 17 freeway. (Note: I didn't take a very good picture, lots of sun spots!)

We stopped off at the Summit  Deli Market to grab some food for the day before we headed up for Crystal Peak.

The road going up to Crystal Peak. Notice my dirty windshield. Sorry, but its hard to drive and hang my head out of the window to take pictures at the same time.

West side of the Loma Prieta radio site. (This site is just west of the Crystal Peak site.)

This is the same picture as above form a closer vantage point.

View south from Summit Road just about 3 miles form the Crystal Peak site.

The new Calnet Crystal Peak repeater site tower. The photo was taken from the west side of the site facing east. (Note: My windshield was really dirty.)

Same as the photo above. Taken for a different spot.

Crystal Peak Site building. (Notice the green propane take along with the generator for backup site power.) This is a very nice site!
